        • Morning all
You're all up very early for a Sunday
I've been up since 6.20 ( 10 minute lie in ). It turns out it takes exactly 2 hours to clean out 2 chicken houses, 1 turkey house, 1 goose pond and 2 ferret houses. I'm not going to time how long it takes me to feed all my tomatoes & chilli's or how long it takes me to muck out my house and finish packing to go to Rhyl tomorrow . These nothing wrong it's just time for my monthly visit.

          • Morning everyone,

Nicos - you are quite the early bird, I am not a morning person normally.

NVG - I feel your pain, I used to make the bed twice so all I had to do was whip off the soggy layer and still have a dry layer underneath and everyone got back to bed quicker. Our kids broke up on Friday so i will get some help in the garden for a few weeks.

Snoop Puss - don't work too hard, after all it is Sunday.

Lottie - hope the weather is kind to you, if not I will take a leaf out of your book and clear the shed instead.

NannySally - oh no! Poor spuds! Hope you can save them and that the tomatoes are doing well.

SusieG - Hope you feel better soon.

BigMally - Good luck on getting the tunnel finished, you are so handy.

Bren - looking like thunder here again today but am going to don my fleece and see what I can get done before the heavens open.

Small Pumpkin - you sound like you have been extremely busy, make sure you get a brew and a rest soon.

As for me, well it is my hubbys birthday today so after sorting the garden I will make his birthday cake. I might even harvest the garlic and make some garlic mushrooms to go with his fillet steak birthday dinner tonight.

            • Morning All

Off to weed the MiL garden shortly (I am such a lucky boy), then off to the plots to do yet more weeding.

Hope you have a fun and productive day

              • Morning all. We had sun earlier but its gone now. Off to church and will then decide what to do with the day when the weather makes up its mind.
                Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                  • Good morning,

I am off to the plot today to see how things have been getting on and doing some watering and weeding. Not been on the plot since Wednesday.

I feel the same way about seeds and yarn (my other passion is knitting and crochet) it seems I am now filling the shed with seeds and GYO stuff and the house with yarn. The kids and hubby don't need that much room do they?.....lol.

                      • That's why I didn't have kids. I knew I'd need the room for seeds

I know the feeling. I like to knit too. I even have a statch of yarn that my OH don't know about hehe. I am trying to convince him that I need a whole room for my yarn and sewing.

                            • Afternoon all. It's the loveliest day in such a long time. I even had to come inside because it's so hot

Been busy planting. Found some hardy fuchsias which I've been looking for, for a while. Don't want the fuss of half hardy ones. Even better they were only £3 each at homebase and laden with new buds. Very pleased with those.

Pink flowers just starting to come out on the pink pixie hebe and the bees are all over it.

Last night started planning a list of seeds I want for next year while OH was watching footie.

Good times. Sunshine always puts me in a good mood. Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. Susie hope your cold clears up soon - glad you can't spread the germs from it though through the computer
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Hahaha! Good luck on that one, you can never have too much yarn. My OH asks why I need so much itty bitty bits of yarn and I tell him that I have itty bitty projects. I designed a crocheted tooth fairy pouch and it has been very popular. What do you like making? Any works in progress?
