Jay if it is still dry at your bit I could send you some rain, it started here at 11.0 and has been heavy at times, started to dead head the plants in my baskets, but it got too wet, will have to get back to it later.

All this complaining about the weather: I'm currently back in Blighty and it's Goldlilocks temperatures (not too hot, not too cold) and nice and sunny (where I am at least).

Still got more work than Veggiechicken could shake a stick at, mind.

Afternoon postie came so I've been off out, then i've been weeding and cutting the lowest branches of the silver birch otherwise they'd be soon touching my bean row.

Afternoon everyone! Hope you have all had a productive day and that your gardens are behaving. I managed to pursuade the kids to come to the shops to get some more compost for my new pea planters and for my other planters. Have spent the afternoon planting some pea seedlings and some courgette seedlings to replace the ones I lost earlier in the season. I have also been trying to fight off the black fly attacking my squash those attempting to attack my swede and turnips. Anyway it was nice to get out and be productive after all the rain we have had.

Had a lovely lunch out ....
Got home mowed back lawn, used my brand new lawn edger to neaten up the scraggly, sprawling 'edges' - looks rather neat 'n tidy now ...

Gave runners a good feed and pottered around GH. A warm, sunny/cloudy afternoon and most enjoyable!

Just looking forward anxiously now to the Wales v Portugal game ...........

Evening all and we have the rain, its just arrived.
Didnt get a lot done today as I was out with my friends for lunch, which ran into mid afternoon.
Dug up some potatoes for dinner, Colleen.
Dug up some onions (thicknecks) .
Took some leaves from the tomatoes and moved them around as some are taller than others.
Tied up the Dahlias which are growing really tall and in blossom already and of course continued with the neverending task of weeding.

Back from work to see the Murray match, really good tennis. Hopefully it finishes before 8.00. Looking forward to doing my garden all day tomorrow. May have to catch up with washing but can do that in between as I am home all day. BLISS.

The tennis was epic! and finished just in time to watch the second half of the football (first world problems!!)

Hoping Wales can see us through and it will be a great day for british sport - just in time for silverstone this weekend
