Oi Hazel, you back from the 'brown bottle shop' yet ? It's been 3 years since the sad passing of Bernie Nolan A few years before that she & her sisters revived this on the only Loose Women tv show I watched all the way through, so sad she has gone but so happy she has left us with this great legacy ....

Aw - I was not a fan of the Nolans, but this is v poignant - thanks for posting, BB. Bit of an aside, 4 of the 5 sisters have grown gracefully into the intervening 30 odd years - but one of them must have been cryogenically stored as she still looks early 20's.

I digress - I only dropped by to pass my excuse note - I played hooky for a couple of hours this morning to attend our running club's time trial (a 10k belt round the park - no PB for me, but a reasonable showing); then back to a busy day's work. Normal shopping duties early evening, a quick baking of ginger biscuits then scrub up and on parade at the pub. Back to watch the end of the Last Boy Scout, and here we are.

I am, therefore not hanging round tonight - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz - I'm guessing that the Nolans - girl band of the day would have lead me to the Spice Girls - but after that, who knows?

Not a very nice day again and it change over time. Hope to do something useful in my own house or garden when I've finished work (haven't decided what yet, there's such a long list)

Early start in the garden planting out a few flower plugs to brighten the front of the house up a bit more ( darned snugs have eaten ALL my petunias!....that's a first!

Washing already on the go, and I need to make this recipe for our BBQ this evening ( thought it best to try it first after the banana cake fiasco!)

Morning from another drizzly mizzly northerner *sigh* it's that soaking stuff too, very wet dog walk ahead!
A bit of work with OH, I wanted to sow seeds yesterday but customer took up most of afternoon, they were off to France for 6weeks ..how nice.
Anyway , with a full greenhouse it's times like this I wish I had a potting shed.
Not sure what il do til I give OH lift to town for friends 50th meal out, then collect him later in some sort of gibberish state nice peaceful night to myself and the remote control though

Right, Olive dog is putting the pressure on (paw slapping my foot)... Best get going.

Hubby has done the land check and reported all is well - takes five minutes lol
Golden delight? Tomatoes are starting to colour up nicely, unfortunately none will make it into the kitchen, these are lovely little snacks al fresco
We are having boiled eggs with crusty bread for breakfast, anyone care to join us?
