Hope Marley gets better soon Deano. Horrible when pets are poorly.
Had a busy day. Decided to shorten a pair of curtains because the weight of them kept pulling the pole off the wall. These are like the equivalent of 4 large curtains since they go over our bay window. I've been measuring and sewing for hours. Pleased with result but my neck and arms are aching.
Not had a chance to do much outside today. I picked a tub full of mangetout so have frozen a couple of bags for stir frys. Picked loads of runner beans which we will eat tomorrow. Was going to have them today but sewing took longer than I thought so we just had a quick dinner of macaroni cheese on its own.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Fingers crossed for Marley, Deano.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

Good evening Folks, it has been a wet day here today, so no gardening just watered and fed plants in greenhouse and watered my baskets, deano sorry to here about your dog, I hope he recovers quickly, and nice to hear from Feral and AP, even if it is just a flying visit, AP I hope you are keeping up with your painting etc., I need you to keep your hand in I have quite a number of jobs for you Had a busy weekend Thursday night when heading for Glasgow I got a phone call from GD. that the concert was finished, and she didnt know how to get to the pickup point, (her mum picked her up at the same point last week) and no charge in her phone to give her directions, set a point to meet at, then her phone was dead, eventually after several three way phone calls with her mum via borrowed phones, we met up 1hr 20min. later, how a girl with as many A levels as she has can make simple mistakes, (very clever, but no common sense) finally got home the back of one, and driving in torrential rain, then busy all day Friday with grandsons Saturday had to let my wife take me out for lunch and the same today Jay that a smashin wee dug, in you avatar.
Well I bid you all a good night, and hope your garden expectations come to fruition. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Hope Marley had another good night. TLC does wonders and it is amazing that animals know when you are helping them.
I cannot believe I managed to go to play bridge and not hear the Murray result, drove in the car without the radio and rang my OH in the driveway before I went in the house to make sure the TV was not on the tennis. Watch the recorded tennis, great match. Golf open next week.
Hoping to be able to do garden tomorrow.

You been on the sauce Scarlet...hand feeding your rabbit his morning poo...YUK!
Rary, that's Harry in the avatar, the dog that is not the son. Harry is a Bichon Frise and almost 15 years old. Looks good for,his age but like most older men he is a rather grumpy old Hector.
Hope Marley has a good night Deano and there is improvement soon.
Well, me being the domestic goddess I am, I decided to make some scones. On clearing up I looked out the kitchen window, couldn't believe the amount of slugs on the back lawn, there were hundreds of the blooming things! Son and hubby sent out to get rid...only over the fence as I can't kill anything. I know they are probably back already!
Oh and the scones were delish even if I say so myself!
Anyhoo, hope you all have a lovely night! Xsigpic
