Hope you enjoyed the shared bodily warmth, Rary. So cold last night here even the cats thought they'd try and get under the quilt with us. July daytime temperatures; January night-time temperatures. Very odd. Potatoes are now positively keeling over, even the Pink Fir Apples and they shouldn't be ready for picking for weeks.
Anyway, weekend is more of the same for me. Work... Mind you, I reckon I might fit in a bit of gardening fun. Will report on Monday.
Have a good day everyone.Last edited by Snoop Puss; 16-07-2016, 10:43 AM.

Good morning,
Grey skies here, looks like its going to rain. Going to nip to the allotment later to check on things, not been for a few days.
Need a big coffee to wake me up today. All I have seemed to do since Wednesday is just sleep.Carrie

Morning everyone.
Been a bit anti-social lately, I sometimes think I'd have made a good hermit living in a wee cave somewhere. I'm positive it's weather related. We've had nothing but rain for ages now, it's quite depressing. However, that said, the sun has appeared this morning but I don't expect it to last.
Anyway just thought I'd pop in and say hi and hope you're all A-OK.

Morning everyone.
Happy Weekend to all those for whom it makes a difference!
I'm not sure what I'm going to do today, I might end up spending most of it stuck in front of the box watching the guys struggle with the Troon breeze.
We had a day out at the seaside yesterday, it was nice and sunny down in Walton-on-the-Naze. So commiserations to those of you suffering with the unsummery weather at the moment. I did get down to the allotment for an hour or so yesterday before it got dark. It's nice and peaceful down there at that time of day, except that the Noisiest Family In The World (tm) were having a barbeque in their back garden adjoining the allotment site.
Still, I picked a big bag of French beans, a big bunch of sweet peas, a couple of lettuces and a few strawbs that the slugs, birds and grey mould had left for me.
There's lots of weeding required that I could do today if I wanted, but not sure I feel like it...

Good Morning Everyone!
I haven't had chance to be on for a while but now on annual leave woohoo!
Congratulations on becoming a grandpa to Byron, Deano, another little helper in training. Have a great time on your course Scarlett, it sounds like great fun.
Well I have been fighting the slug wars and they appear to be winning, however just got some organic blue sweeties so hoping that helps. I was watching my hubby cut the grass from the kitchen window whilst giving my freshly picked spuds a wash, and I saw him with two snails in his hand threatening to lob them. Never has a marriage depended so much on where two snails landed, on my veg and I would be looking for a replacement (and I don't mean the veg), over the fence and we are safe. Thankfully he chose wisely and threw them far from my precious veggies.

Good (WET!!) afternoon, all ...
Washing is on display on the radiators - which are cold 'cos it's warm 'n muggy, so it's going to take ages to dry ......
Managed a bit of weeding before rain stopped play .....
All good in GH - some super-size chillis going on in there..!!! And a fair few GREEN toms.....~~~ Gardening is medicine that does not need
a prescription ... And with no limit on dosage.
