My laptop wise, it takes no longer to load this page on my 'modding' lappy (the Dell doorstop) with 2Gb of ram thatn it does on the super whizzy HP with 8 Gb of ram, I was trying to be fair to members who might have page loading problems.
Watching, waiting & coalating.

I did think of starting .. The Ball of String .. thread, but didn't want to seem 'elitest', it's just a bit of Friday night fun that Hazel & I have been doing on & off for ages.
However, I do sometimes wonder if all our links might be 'a pain' to members with slow internet connections &/or use mobile devices ? If there is a concensus for a seperate thread rather than leaving it in general chat, no prob's it will be done.
Thoughts please

Keep it as it is if I don't like all this modern stuff you and Hazil put on I can roll past it
Just to add it is better to see th artist than a link to utube

Actually, thinking about this, I can't see it making a lot of difference to me to be a on separate thread - I'm talking to myself at daft o'clock anyway, and anyone who enjoys my ramblings (ha ha!) on the Chat can always pop over to the Ball of String thread if they chose to next time they log on - especially if I flag it up on the Chat if I'm 'in da house' and/or grapes look at the Vine via the 'what';s new' button.

It means that anyone who is not bothered doesn't log in on a Sat morning and have to wade through a lot of nonsense!

So although I'd prefer the Status Quo (see what I did there??), I won't be miffed to sit in a corner and play on my own!

Haha, Vix - there is an implication in your post that there there could be some organisation with regard to the Ball of String! I suspect that even if we had a clearer idea of where we are, we'd still have a right ol' cat's cradle!

Durr - obvs, BB or how else would we get any sort of starting point to attach the string to?? Left to my own devices, the themes would be v dull and repetitive - you know that I rely on your eclectic musical knowledge!

BTW in the dueling banjos analogy , you'd be the seventies copper with the suspect 'tash, and I'd be the albino kiddie on the stoop???? Not a good image, bud.

And I'm wide awake and excited like a kid cos we're off to the coast for the day later this morning.
Frustratingly we have to hang around til 9am...I'd be off in the next half hour given half a chance!

fish market, general market, 2 vide greniers, picnic , and an hour or so on the beach looking for pebbles to paint and sell for the summer fair....I think it's gonna be a good 'un for me today
...and the fact the sun is shining is a whopping bonus eh?

Mentally busy day coming up! Just about to clean out all the animals. Then feed all my plants, then finish cleaning the house, pack (going to Rhyl again tomorrow), book train tickets, harvest everything that's ready. And somewhere in amongst that lot cook roast duck for tea.

Morning
Day of gardening at parents yesterday , didn't get a lot done , harder when dad 'helping' ..dog helped to supervise him .
Grey this morning , due heavy rain from 12 so 1 dry dog walk today at least. Be working with OH today.
Received an autumn catalogue of bulbs etc yesterday, havnt got a ripe tomato, courgette or runner yet aaghhhh .
I'd hoped the back field would've been cut yesterday ..it wasn't *sigh*
Right , dog walk time again..
