I think you lot are jumping the gun about the GR.

Do you remember that it is being redeveloped?
We need Greenleaves to give us some feedback on the current situation. I suppose we could all camp out on the Village Green and build an encampment out of beer kegs and wine barrels

We can always use my polytunnel though there's only 4 chairs for use by my regulars :-)

Thought Deano was on the bell but if rary is buying as well I'll have 2 doubles of what he's having :-)

My friends are always welcome and since I'm from the stone age the Ladies always get a seat - the guys can always lean on the 2 tables or the shelving the onions are drying on. :-)

I think I will be old enough this year to join in the fun in the GR
Haven't started drinking yet, so I will go through quite a few and then decide what I like ... Oh, and of course I will let Rary buy the first round
Had a nice family meal out tonight with kids, came home with a voluntary extra, big smiles the GG is with us for a few days.

I am sorry to disappoint some of you I have decided to stop drinking so sadly that means I couldn't possibly inflict the pressure on any one feeling it would be a discourteous to take a drink from someone they couldn't reciprocate with.

For those who have joined the Vine since the turn of the year, The GR - Gardener's Rest is a virtual hostelry where Rary masterfully avoids paying for a round of drinks, I enjoy the black stuff and loads of nonsense is typed and posted. I personally feel that the Gr should never close but we don't really have a say in that. Not that it matters because it always re-opens at Christmad and that is now only a few months away.

It is indeed!....the GR is set to reopen on time ( I was eaves dropping on the conversation between the site manager and GL)
Only 4 months to go!!!!!

Beautiful one at that, lots to do today but little garden related.

I see mention has been made to the GR, so I will post an update on the refurbishment later but all seems to be on track for the grand opening towards through end of the year
