Afternoon all, rains done with and its cloudy/windy/sunny
Ended up popping into town for the second time this week to visit the bank
July is an expensive one with Birthdays, so I'm not surprised.
Done all the putting in, taking out, transferring and asked for a statement at the end.
It's still in my bag, don't want to look yet ......
Had a quick look round BM for any bargains, all gone thank goodness. There's no air con in any of our stores, can't stop too long in them, definately couldn't work in thereNannys make memories

Enjoy your holiday Susie and I hope today feels like a holiday for everyone else too.
Oh, that was Toby setting all the dogs off saying 'hi' from across the coastline....!
I am indeed enjoying my holiday, thanks (although I'm wondering how all my growing 'babies' are doing at home. 'Sfunny how you can miss your own back garden .....) (I know they'll be tended by lovely old neighbour, but I bet he won't talk to them the same as I do ..............! )
LD, hope Mr LD manages with your encouragement to do his strengthening exercises ....it's got to be hard to keep motivated .........

Emailed one of our local Councillors this afternoon asking if she would be available to make presentations at the Annual Show on 14th August. She has replied in the affirmative and asked if she can bring along 2 girls aged 11 from Chernobyl who are staying with her for a spell - this is common in this area. I have advised they will be more than welcome and I'll arrange for Treasurer, (my daughter), to get some small momentos they can take away in memory of their visit - all ideas, suggestions will be gratefully received. :-)Endeavour to have lived, so that when you die, even the undertaker will be sorry - Puddinghead Wilson's Diary

Evening all Glad you're enjoying your seaside holiday Susie. It sounds great.
The weather started off dull and wet but it's been a cracking afternoon. So far spent the school holiday sorting through my daughter's old clothes and toys and filling all the charity bags up. Luckily the local infant school wanted her barbie house which she no longer plays with so the kids there can enjoy that. Her bedroom is starting to look tidy again - probably won't last long!
I had the bright idea of putting in a wide flower border down one side of the garden but it's not the best time of year to do it while the ground is so hard. We've got half done. It will give me a bit more space to add some veg in next year as well as flowers so double purpose. I didn't mention the veg bit to hubby as that might not have gone down so well
Having a nice little rest and browse through here before a game of frisbee.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Shen...could you ask the ones who organise the trips ?
We've had similar round here recently (over the border ) , been coming for 10yrs now.
Susie jealous of the seaside trip and even the bracing walks , sounds lovely , you'll have to tell me where with you taking Toby . We tend to end up east coast beaches.
Am off to shens polybar again....🍷Northern England.
