I have a bottle of Gordons Gin being lying in the cupboard for a score of years or more - untouched - does it spoil? - another lady on the site mentioned she wanted Gin provided when she came to visit - I have variety of bottles of different alcohol collected over the years and many never touched - think I still have a bottle of Napoleon Brandy or what's left of it brought back in 1969 :-)

    • Evening all, hope you are all well. Don't seem to be managing to get on to the vine as much recently and being honest I don't really know why! Checked the toms etc and guess what? I have the grand total of 2 teeny tiny toms...loads of flowers so fingers crossed I will have more soon. Also got some cucs coming and some chillis. Strawbs are still fruiting but the rasps I think are finished. Peas putting on the pods too...all in all its looking not too bad.

Haven't been sleeping too well so going to have an early night so wishing you all a good night and see you in the morning. Nighty night

              • Mornin n'all n'all!

I finally managed to get a bit of clearing up done in the garden yesterday!yey!

Mommy chook is still happily sitting on her eggs, so all is well there too.
And as it's finally doing a bit of decent wet stuff out there, I'm going to be able to concentrate on some indoor chores today.

I'm just listening to the local church bells calling out 7am. No idea why, but they always chime a few minutes later!

                • Morning all. Well kettle is on if anyone would like a cuppa.
Just me up and about so far in the house. Just check the bank to see if OH has been paid yet. He hasn't I have though but unexpected as I thought I had missed the cut off date. Shame kids will spend every last penny of it for me.
In again at work today. Got to go to the Post Office first as I missed a parcel yesterday. Think its a Bee keeping book I wanted off my sister, its the one in the latest GYO mag.
Anyway have a good day everyone

                  • Morning from me. Been up an hour, battery had died on bedside clock and I didn't know what the time was.
A nice leisurely look round The Vine is the result of the early start
Sky looked lovely this morning, lots of tiny white clouds, the sun trying to break through them
Baked a cake yesterday and made a dozen cards, do will drop in to work this morning
                    Have a lovely day everyone

                    • A very good Thursday morning from me..!

Sky is a dismal shade of grey by the seaside, this morning, after yesterday's lovely afternoon/evening....

Off to the beach now .......

                      Have a good day, all!

                      • Good morning Folks, waiting for the youngest grandsons to awaken then off to get the other two, dry at the moment but rain forecast latter, that's one thing the forecasters can do, say it will rain later, they usually get it right 75% of the time. Don't have much time for the garden during school holidays, fortunately had rigged up a watering system for the greenhouse, I have used a camping shower bought from life's for £4 holds 20lts. so to that up when I have time, add feeding into every second or third day (actually its when I remember) must be doing ok as I am pulling nice toasty tomatoes. Have to go grandsons moving see you later
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                              • Morning all. Been awake half the night for some reason so slept in later this morning. So today I'm glad there is no school, I'd be running around like a headless chicken by now if there was!

Sky can't decide which way it's going today, and so therefore, neither can I right now.

Tea is required I think. Lots of it.

                                Have a good one.
