      • Morning all, rather dull this morning but I'm off to meet my friends for lunch so that should brighten the day! Another night of next to no sleep, I must be running on extra at the minute, no idea why I'm still functioning with the amount of sleep I'm not getting!
Hope you all have a lovely day.

        • Morning all - had No'1 grandson staying yesterday and last night while his parents and siblings were off on jaunt to the Titanic in Belfast. He keeps late hours and hogged the bath last night till near midnight so a late start this morning - sun peeping through just now - off to shops for milk and bread before popping up to allotment to open the poly before it gets too warm - average daily temp. has been over 100% - thinking of turning it into a sauna. :-)

          • Afternoon all. Got daughter's friend round soon to play so silence will be imminently shattered I am reading with a coffee while it is still peaceful.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

            • Good afternoon, wet here not heave but enough for me to get into trouble for not taking the washing down when I had been at our own house, if it hadn't been that, there would have been some other thing, I think wives have a list to go through, How to Keep Your Man Unsettled, 150 ways to keep him on his toes. No matter its like water of a ducks back. Need to go again four of them together leads to pandemonium, its time school was back in, in my day we sat n a corner and didn't make a sound

              • Rary I don't believe you ever sat quietly in a corner... unless you were threatened with the cane?

Too much wet stuff for my liking today, rescued a few froglets from almost being stood on , blardy things.

                    • Evening all! I have just eaten my supper - a small container of freshly picked peas, eaten raw straight from the shell. Yummy! I went out for lunch with #2 son today, burger and chips and very nice it was too, but still pretty full. So - peas for tea. How healthy is that? I grow loads of peas and NONE of them ever make it to a pan, never mind the freezer

                        • Evening all. Have just been tidying up today both at work and at home. I went to pick my letter from the post office and it was some garden vouchers from my sister for my birthday. So I have £50 to spend on the garden
                          Have a good evening everyone

                          • Just returned from an allotment committee meeting - the second of the new committee - far and away the best one in 3 years - couple of pints - lots of laughter and banter coupled with discussions and unaminous agreement on every point raised. The difference in atmosphere is unbelievable - looking forward on good progress in everything discussed and more pleasant evenings to boot. :-)

                              • Good evening Folks, it has been a damp afternoon and evening here, raining but never that heavy, and also felt quite cool, had to put the heating on for a short time, we have the two youngest grandsons on a sleepover, so hopefully have a long lie in the morning, I had a quick look at my flower baskets today and I will need to give them a feed some time over the next day or two, I add slow release fertilizer pellets to the compost which are supposed to last six months but when there are twenty five to thirty plants in the basket I don't think the feeding lasts that long. Well I wish you all a good night and for those to whom it matters tomorrow is Friiiiday, thanks for the smiley CG, and Vixy I will have you know I was never threatened with a cane....... it was a brush. Goodnight
