    • It'll be warm rain - save me having a shower!
Next question - is it a good idea to drink red wine from a bottle that was opened last November? I can't decide whether its off or just strong!

          • I poured it down the sink - there was a lot of black stuff lurking at the bottom. Fortunately, I found another bottle!
Found an enormous spider at the bottom of the curtains too. Good job they don't scare me. Wonder what else has been living here while I've been away

            • Off wine and massive spiders...? Doesnt sound like fun to me! Hope you get it all done - sounds like you've got your hands full!

              • I lose so much time here to people who want to chat (not me of course). So far, its the man over the road, Karen who used to run the newsagents, Dylan with the MX5 who offered to come up and help with the garden, Jim and Jill who live down below and the new neighbour who showed me the shell of his house - totally gutted inside but he's a keen gardener and has cleared our boundary brambles!
Now the house lights are on, you can bet I'll have a few visitors tomorrow!
I love this village, its like a timewarp, tonight's entertainment was hymn singing on the beach instead of in church. I could hear the singing up here in the cottage.

                • Right, there's absolutely no way that I'm going to catch up with 50 pages of chatback so I'm skipping from page 429 to today.

You should fit in well then
I wish you well with the work that's required, and good fortune with the selling
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                    • Mornin n'all n'all!

Am I first up, best dressed today?

Glad things are Ok in the house VC

I have an interesting day ahead...we have another friend selling up and going back to the uk and they have 3 sheds full of bits and pieces.
Her son has cleared out everything he wants and the rest we have been offered.
There were loads of bits of wood offcuts, perfect for making insect hotels which I doubt he'll have bothered taking back to the uk...still, you never know...all very exciting to those of us who like skip diving eh?

                      Have a great day peeps...

Well at least it's had time to 'breathe!'

But probably not a good idea to drink it! It'll upset your tum!

What I need is an 'expert' to come and prune and sort out my soft fruit!

                          • . Good morning..! Happy Monday .....
Hope your house/garden clearing/sorting goes well today VC ....

Enjoyed all the 70's music Hazel, wonderful happy memories ~ they certainly don't make them like that anymore...!!!!!!

Clearing heaps of old 'rubbish' from back garden again today - weather permitting, so a satisfying few trips to the tip ....(and it's all un-recyclable .......)

DH's car in for service today, so that'll cost us an arm and a leg, no doubt .....

Lifted onions and garlic yesterday, really happy with them ....

                            Have a great day all!

                            • Morning all, survived the night with fidgety GG. I have left her up there, sleeping diagonally across the bed
yesterday I baked two loaves for a couple of ladies from work, will give them a crisp up later and take them in
Ginger cake to be made this morning, got a jar of stem ginger to add in. Yummy.
I did have a mug full of sungold toms to take to work, my Daughter and GG demolished them yesterday
Quick note on the runner bean glut. Hubby decided to store the extras in cold water in the garage on the last picking. Worked a treat, kept them fresh as a daisy, and used them all yesterday.
After a very domesticated weekend, it will be a relief to get back to work
Have a great day whatever the weather, it don't look great
