Lottie - I can't take much or any of the credit - I just told a few of the regulars and Container Gardener who were in the polybar about Nicos's post and they decided to have a bit of fun so we lifted the caravan from where it was stored in forecourt and put it on a skip that was in the vicinity awaiting rubble from a house renovation - that CG is nearly as strong as VC

Only thing is the owner got a bit annoyed so we had to move fast to get away after the pic was taken - we'll need to go back tonight to put things right - hope the regulars are all sober enough to take part - that CG can't half sink them - I'll need to restock asap otherwise my regulars will go elsewhere.

Personally, I think the Foodbank is now a better option but there's no convincing some people - I remember, (and this part is true), offering a down and out who frequented Glasgow Central station a couple of bob to get himself a pie or something and he knocked me back, (not physically). He preferred rummaging through the station bins to pick up discarded food, sometimes sandwiches, to accepting money from passers by. His story was a tragic one - wife and children died - accident?? - very clever man unable to cope with life thereafter.

        • Evening All! I've been out yellow stickering again. Spent a fiver on plants at H0mebase - thats a dozen fuchsias, 6 pelarg0niums, 2 salvias, 6 gazanias and a pot of oriental lilies to plant out tomorrow.
Then over to Morries of the Sunday afternoon sell-off. Bought enough to feed me and the dogs for a week. Fresh salmon (49p) for dinner tonight
          Everyone happy?
Well done susieq on your long walk. Where to next?

          • Evening All Phew, scorchio with gusto today! I understand rain is expected overnight and I certainly hope it is only overnight. I'm getting used to this nice weather and I have all next week to enjoy it

            • Evening all. Well I hope Karma exists. OH told me he could hear something on my potting table so he left me to investigate. After a quick rummage about I found a small mouse. No I didn't bop it I managed to trap it in a kitchen roll tube and a plant pot either end. I then let it go in the bottom of the garden.
That's my good deed of the day.

              • A good Monday Morning, all...

I was rudely awoken this morning (only about 20 minutes before the alarm...) by Toby dog retching ...... So out of bed jumps I, but not quite in time .....
Ain't animals great ...? Just what you want to be doing when you've not peeled back yer eyelids properly yet....!

Runners have survived the wind battering yesterday, thanks to the emergency lashing together of the frame yesterday by DH ....

It looks a bit grey out there, not sure if it's coming on for rain, or is still early...?

Have a very good day, enjoy ...

                • Morning all
It's still wet and windy, so I'm going to have a relaxing day. Maybe a bit of courgette chutney making and watch a bit of olympics.
Obviously the relaxing day has nothing to do with the late night I had last night.
                  Have a good day everyone

                    • Morning all. Quite a bit cooler here this morning. So will be going to the allotment bright and early. Trying to fight the weeds back a bit. Bit depressing down there at the moment as the weeds seem to be winning at the moment.
                      Have a good day everyone

                      • Morning everyone, bright and breezy out there today
Garden is going well, nothing to do out there but harvest and water. Great isn't it?
Work later, but must do a food shop this morning, my fridge and freezer are bare. For the freezer this is a miracle.
We have been living off the freezer and the land and it certainly shows
                        Have a good one

                        • Morning from me n all . Lovely shiney out there but still very blowy after a very windy night. heard glass breaking at one point but nothing visible so some other poor sod has a problem to sort. Not sure what I'm doing today. Her ladyship hasn't told me yet

                          • Mornin n'all n'nutters

                            Another week already!
I was hoping to get to see if there were a few shooting stars last night, but we had cloud...hopefully tonight.
Domestic day for me, but that's fine- we had fun at the vide grenier yesterday...I managed to buy a few galvanised containers for the garden and bump into friends and ended up having lunch with them.

One of the 'buckets' is enormous ....I could climb inside and put the lid on! ( and nope...I'm not a wee slip of a thing either!)
It's perfect to put at the far end if the garden where it's not looking so enormous
( think of the father Ted scene' big cow far away, small cow near to 'conversation)
If I can find a solar powered pump it'd make a lovely water feature next to the old apple cart!
                            Dead chuffed!

Right...best go put me Mrs Mop hat on.....
                            Have a great day peeps!
