    • No chance of me see any shooting stars, very thick clouds full of rain (have been for days).

      Morning all
Going to Rhyl for the very last time. To carry out Nan & Grandad's final wishes (scattering there ashes).
Hope the rest of you have a fun weekend because I won't be.

        • Oh gosh SP...it's going to be a very emotional one...but something very important.
Then at least you know you did absolutely everything you possibly could for them both.
You've been an absolutely wonderful grandchild...they must have always been so very proud of you in so many ways over the years, watching you grow from a bundle in arms to the delightful, caring person you clearly are today.
I can quite honestly say that I doubt there are many grandchildren who could be bothered to devote themselves in the way you have.

Have a good cry , and give them a final hug, they are at rest now. Xx
          Hope it goes well.

As for me...well mostly domestics, starting any second now.
So Susie...as much caffeine you can throw at me please!!!!

                  • Morning

                    SP ((big hug))

Is there any coffee left? Had a lie in and feel more tired
The nice weather hasn't found us yet..grey grey and more grey.
OH went to his mothers last night for tea while I was seeing dad, he has moaned all week with work and must've felt bad...came home with a plant and a blowaway GH.

So ..what can I do with my blowaway GH now ? Shall I strap it and use outside, what could go in as gets cooler. Or wait and use in glass GH when it is colder.
(I've had them before but use them as staging at the moment).

Need to harvest some runners and some salads for mum and write a list of jobs
Then onto hosp to see dad.
Have a good day whatever you do.

Have you had your hair cut too Flo? Me too, mine should be every six weeks but Ive been too busy.the hairdresser went bananas and asked me where he thought he should start

Trip, there's no point in all this training if you have alcohol to celebrate. ....OH does the same, now he is wondering why son #1 who hasn't been on a bike for a month or more can manage to do a 10 just two minutes behind him and then the young 20something bloke who he loaned his spare racing helmet too can beat him by two minutes

Right I'm off! Lots to do, friends coming for dinner and Ive a cake to bake

                        • My thoughts are with you, Small Pumpkin, over this weekend. So sad for you.

I've been up for hours. Friday is my (plant) feeding day and it seems to take forever.

I've done something really stupid and accidentally cut one of my marrow plants in half. I missed the stem of the marrow I was cutting off and cut through the main stem instead What a total idiot. It had 2 small marrows forming on the stem I cut off So no idea whether the rest of the plant will still be OK or whether it will now die.

Should have gone to Specsavers I guess

Looks like a nice day but we have to go shop for some back to school stuff so not looking forward to that. Could take hours. Please someone have a coffee for me when I get back
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

I grate it and put it in home made coleslaw or thru salads

                            • Thank you, Trip. Well yes it was growing right out of the raised bed and sprawling over the grass so it does look a whole lot neater Just hope it perks up and produces more marrows. Not got enough stored as yet.

                              • Morning All from ................you've guessed............SSW Its really is very sunshiny today!

SP, thinking of you carrying out your Grandparents' wishes. Been there and done it.

I hope you'll excuse me if I pass on a little tip
Make sure that you're upwind when you scatter the ashes. We scattered my in-laws on a headland in St Ives. Its quite windy there! I looked at my Sis-in-law and she'd turned grey, she was covered in ash. She looked as if she had terrible dandruff. It was so ridiculous we had to laugh
I scattered my husband's ashes on an island that he loved and we had a party afterwards. The grass has always looked greener in that spot!

Right, must get on with stuff..............like breakfast
                                See ya later!
