  • Evening all. Well I have finally got on line after one heck of a week, see rant. Been very hot here even the kids lasted only a few minutes outside.
Going to try and get back to the allotment tomorrow before it gets to hot again. Need to get the last of my spuds up before the mice get to them, see rant again.
    Have a good evening everyone

    • rary - Got some good news and bad news for you if you have grandkids that love Lego.

My grandson Andrew lost a bit of a boat he had built down between the decking a day or two back so when we went on our train trip to Glasgow today I took the boys to the Lego shop in Buchanan Galleries where we searched all the tubs they have containing Lego pieces for sale without any joy.

I then approached a young sales assistant who said - "Wait a few minutes and I'll search the bins, (not waste) - I could see there were hundreds if not thousands of pieces in these bins around the sales floor and she was struggling to find the lost piece but was collecting anything that resembled it so after confirming that none of them were quite right I suggested that we could save her time and bother and search ourselves which she readily agreed.

After a minute or two Hawkeye Andrew found the missing bit - (his eyesight is uncanny - he can spot a bus no. from 100 yards away). and here is the good bit for you - the girl said "well done" - "good for you" - "no charge" followed by "If he loses any other pieces just bring him back and see what you can find - no charge"

Here is the bad bit - she was so nice and helpful that I couldn't leave without buying something so I got Euan 2 Lego builds for a tenner, (£9.98 to be exact).

Sad day for you both - as a grandfather I think I can safely say SP's grandparents will fully appreciate all the care, attention and devotion she has given them and would not want her to be sad but happy for all the good times they spent together

                        • Came home from work today & joined the children on the trampoline. They managed to bump into each other, & eldest child's v wobbly tooth came out with lots of wailing & blood pouring out. Much better now and I have been informed that as it's a front tooth the tooth fairy brings £2, not the usual £1!

With youngest child's constipation being "cured" 3 minutes into a shared bath it's been an evening of small drama
