Lovely BB - nice to have had your company tonight too. Enjoy your turn around the block - don't give any nocturnal lady runners a fright, will you?
Well, after a trip to a recommended pub in Walsall this evening for a couple of jars of the excellent Bathams Best Bitter (where the accents were brilliantly yam yam despite being maybe just half a dozen miles away from home), followed by a curry, and some fun on here, the glass of rhubarb wine is empty, and it's time to put the house and all in it to bed.

Morning all
Well today's the day. The emotional roller coasters starts here.
Thanks for the advice VC. Unfortunately I'm not actually going to be involved. I'm just watching from a distance. Because I arranged for the Nan & Grandad's ashes to go out with the lifeboat (there going out on exercise anyway) but I'm not allowed on board. Nan & Grandad were both in the navy and wanted there final resting place to be the sea. I thought they would be happy to be scattered in the bit of sea they've spent the last 30 year watching.
I've rambled on long enough.
Have a good day everyone
Thank you all for being lovely lovely people (some very touching things were said yesterday)

......Morning All .....
--- ok -- who stole the sun from the sky and replaced it with thick, black looming cloud...???
I'm guessing that yesterday was our 'heatwave', then...!!!??? Oh well, it's not cold, a mild 17.8c in GH just now ...
Right, think I need a filling brekkie before work - scrambled eggs on toast, I think and a steaming cuppa ... As always, I've left some mugs out, tea, coffee and sugar - you all know where the fridge is - don't forget to load the dishwasher when you've done, though!
Savour your Saturday, whatever you're up to ...

Morning Ladies from a wet but mild Nestland, will wait for it to cheer up a bit before venturing to the plot. Have a good weekend whatever you may do & wherever you may be.Last edited by Bigmallly; 13-08-2016, 07:59 AM.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

Morning all Am on another soup making day today. Yesterday tried out a marrow soup which I adapted from a courgette one on the BBC good food website. Today am doing a sweet potato soup. That should get the freezer stocked up nicely.
Bit dull this morning so not rushing to get up and water the tomatoes. Will take my time. It is Saturday after all.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Morning all. Bit cold and cloudy here at the moment. Hopefully the sun will break through soon. Was planning to go and dig my second earlies up but I have an 8 year old having a melt down because in her words I shouted at her. I didn't I just asked her to go and tidy her bedroom and make her bed. Going to be a long Saturday
Anyway have a good day everyonesigpic
