Morning all, Scarlet, I said 'oh wow' out loud. You clever girly
All my spuds are looking bedraggled now, only two buckets to harvest and four huge bags of roosters to crop for storage at end of August.
Tomatoes are being picked every day
A naughty caterpillar has eaten all my watercress and carrot seedlings. Arghh
I have a bucket of carrots that are cropping every day thank goodness. Also got a few lettuces coming along well.
Runners are getting near the end, maybe a few more weeks for them
Supposed to be visiting daughter later as the little GG will be back from her holidays. Miss bipolar is a tad unpredictable, so this may or may not happen.
That's me for the day, have a lovely SundayLast edited by Nannysally99; 14-08-2016, 09:31 AM.Nannys make memories

I'm now sat in the car in Wales, I'm on puncture duty while the OH and his mate races. I hope they can get some good times this morning....it's good racing weather
Then lunch with my Dad later...very much looking forward to that

Morning all, well yesterday turned out to be a showery kind of day so went shopping for new bedding. We then decided it would be a better idea to decorate the bedroom first then buy the bedding so came home with nothing!
It's dry today and I think the sun is going to put in an appearance. Catching up on washing/ironing and then, if the sun appears, a bit of time spent in the garden.
Scarlet, I have to say what a wonderful cake, you have a superb talent!! Why not start up a business, you would have plenty of custom with cakes like that! Will be sending my order down soon.
Safe home SP, enjoy the bargain shopping and the munching!
Have a great day everyone.sigpic

Have just dropped Mr Snoop off in town for the main event of the local annual fiestas. I'll be going in a bit later to pick him up again. Doubtless he'll be sopping wet (it's a water festival) and will have lots of tales of people who drenched him and people that he managed to drizzle a bit from his feeble water pistols. Too scary for me - lots of drunk lads and lasses in narrow streets pushing each other about and slapping each other with wet t-shirts and the like, all in the supposed name of fun.
Meanwhile, I'll finish the last bit of washing-up from yesterday's marathon lunch. Pretty good, but I reckon the biryani (from Persiana by Sabrina Ghayour) needs some different spicing, too much cumin for my tastes and not perfumed enough with other spices. Even so, it worked well as a main dish and looked the part. I was very suspicious that the method as described wouldn't work, but it did. I foresee a vegetarian version next.
Lots of leftovers for today, so that saves me making much effort today. A proper lazy Sunday.
Have a nice day everyone.

Wow what an amazing cake, Scarlet. I love the fun design too with the mice laid on their backs looking like they've had a good time
I've appreciated the less sunny weather and have got more gardening done. Sowed some turnips, swede and pak choi out in the space where the onions are now all pulled up and sowed some lettuce in modules.
Bigger tomatoes are now ripening quite nicely. The big ones are better for slicing on top of my cheese crackers.
Keep seeing a little froggie friend who seems to love hanging out in the squash bed. Tried to get a photo but he kept jumping about.
Back's aching now so sitting down with a coffee. Hope everyone is having a pleasant Sunday.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
