  • Had a lovely nip out to a local vide grenier and come back with a small, old , oak chest.
Been badly repaired ( out of site bits) but looks smashingly old and used.
We needed something small to put some paperwork in instead of piling up IKEA cardboard storage boxes.
It'll be puuurfect for 'you know who' to sit on and look out of the window too!
    Only €22.
Got 3 old and exceptionally rusty/ broken coach lamps for €2 which will be perfect for hanging in trees as decoration.
Best get on with the ironing again now eh?
Nothing like coming to earth with a bump!

Just cut the foliage right down and dispose of it - do not compost. Leave the potatoes for a week or so and then lift - at this stage it will be apparent whether the potatoes themselves have been affected.

          • Evening all. Well kids are at my mom and dads so I've had a peaceful afternoon. Went to allotment and dug up all of my second earlies. Quite a few of my 1st earlies had been nibbled on so that why I have dug them all up now. Haven't weighed them yet but there are shed loads of them. OH is very impressed.
            Love the cake Scarlet
Hope you get home okay tomorrow SP

            • Rary I'll post some if you pay postage

Had a lovely family meal to celebrate my Dads birthday at a pub in Wales. Flo, it's priceless when the whole (or nearly all) family get together...the pub sang Happy Birthday too, much to my Dads embarrassment
Shattered now though, early to bed tonight I think!

                • Wow scarlet - that's an amazing cake! Glad I didn't put a photo of my effort up! Had a lovely weekend camping in a big field with friends, children all playing together & exploring & some lovey food - bbq courgettes are yummy! Best thing was only 10 mins from home & in the camper so super easy to pack up & leave. Youngest had a great birthday & ate vast amounts of chocolate cake.

Well, off to do something fun like cleaning the kitchen cupboards before bed.....
                  Another happy Nutter...

                      • Well done Scarlet. That cake was brilliant and i'm saying that from someone who did them for a living.

My day has been truly weird. On Friday I promised to meet a friend in the local today, which I did. There was another friend there and we moved on to another hostelry where he proposed. As in marriage. This is totally out of the blue. And |I'm a bit um, can't think of the right word, but gobsmacked might fit.
