Happy Birthday Mr Small Pumpkin!
Afternoon all I've been busy making soup again. I picked 2 kg of tomatoes and thought cripes at the amount so I got busy washing, cutting and cooking. It's now packed and in the freezer for when I feel like a lazy cooking day.
Off to watch my daughter in a show later. She's playing Oliver as part of a local play. Since that will end too late for me to sensibly cook a dinner, will be grabbing something from the fish and chippie on the way back
Lovely weather again. Losing count of how many dry days we've had now. This year is so unusual. Our normal bog like garden is bone dry. Hard to keep up with the watering.
Have a good day all.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

The only chilled soup I've ever had was one my sister made for a dinner party about 30 years ago. It was Almond Soup. I don't have a recipe but I see Delia has one.
It was absolutely delicious but my ex spoiled it all by complaining that the soup was cold, duuuh!"I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)

Evening
Well we had a fantastic day, beautiful weather, stunning scenery and wildlife. With a good bit of fishing.
I will be posting a few pics in the near future.
BM I love that cake, thank you ( and on his behalf, I'm sure it will be in to have a look round the vine soon!......I've told him too )
