Morning all. Can't believe I am up at this time in the morning but I've actually been awake since 1am. Very muggy here last night and I have also been up sorting kids out and sorting Hans wet bed. She drank loads yesterday as it was so warm so I half expected a soggy bed even though I had lifted her to take her to the toilet before I went to bed.
Got a phone call last night off my mom to say the allotment site has been hit by thieves. My dad has had his wheelbarrow tyre slashed and some one has had all his potatoes dug up. That's all my dad has found out so far what has happened so I am going down this morning to see if I have been hit. If my pumpkin and marrow for the show on here has gone I will be well wee weed off .
Oh sorry I'm a bit late but Happy Birthday Bob
I'm going to go back to bed for a bit now. See you all later
Just listening to the bells again...much louder this morning...Tis very still out there...not even a wibble/ wobble of a leaf
Bob...many happies from me too...

WHAT???
Flippin 'ek...that really is shocking to hear- it beggars belief to do so much damage and actually go to the trouble of digging up all the spuds!
Fingers and toes crossed you've not been badly hit.
Morning Ladies from a mild but rainy Nestland. I'm expecting 50 Rolls of turf to be delivered at some point today so the rain is quite welcome. Enjoy your day whatever you may be doing & hope you are damage free NVG.

Wow, how come everyone is up soooooo early on a Friday? Anyway morning all. Having tea in bed and waiting for the rain to start!
Hope your allotment is ok NVG. Sorry to hear about your dad's. So senseless
Have a good Friday all
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
........... (((huff ....puff...phew.......catches breath!))) Made it back ~ dodged the rain .....! Not that Toby dog is bothered ~ I think he enjoyed the extra bit of pace that was injected into his walkies this morning...!!!
Hope your plot is lout-free NVG ......
BM ~ glad your turf is going to get a good soaking-in, it'll certainly help it acclimatise ..!
Have a favourable Friday, all ...!

Morning all, no rain yet, but due later I expect.
Still warm here though.
Took the GG back yesterday, Nanny jobs done for this week. The lesser spotted Grandson did poke his head out of the door to say hello.
Back to today, work, of course. We have arranged a soirée for Saturday night, as the BBQ we were all going to is cancelled.
Hope you all have a good day, rain n all
Morning all
Don't know what to do today. Still have so much of everything to do!
NVG really hope you're pumkin & marrow are ok.
Have a good day everyone.
Went out to water the toms, flowers and the plants in the greenhouse as I do every morning and it 's started to spit with rain looks like the storm and early autumn they are predicting is on it's way.
I'm lost with days, hospital (dads new ward) rang yesterday to say he had fell but was ok, mentioned that he had loads of falls on previous ward , gave him sensor pads, low bed, crash mats and padded bed frames did the previous ward not tell you that? Jeeeeeeeeeez.
He likes to remove his attached sensor alarm box and walk around with it, my brother caught him one night trying to take it apart to see how it worked (engineer)
Tried to finish decorating yesterday but having taken our dog she escaped again into neighbours garden, took me an hour in nettles , holly and under a 2ft thick beech hedge to secure her from somehow getting through 50yr old trunks at her size.
So returning today to finish that room finally !
Then visit dad....and the rest of patients who get involved in visit
We have a meeting next week with ward staff and social services re help for dad if coming home, really need to find out what he can and can't do ..also how he is at night.
Picked one courgette last night. The others nicely growing have been munched now I'm not doing them again.will stick to salads, onions, toms, cucs, runners...maybe spuds.
I shall start the Indian Summer dance .....if anyone cares to join in....
Went out to water the toms, flowers and the pants in the greenhouse as I do every morning and it 's started to spit with rain looks like the storm and early autumn they are predicting is on it's way.
You keep pants in your greenhouse
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
Morning its a bit dull here today and it feels like rain so probably not a good idea to be wearing shorts. Bren wonders off to join CG with the Indian Summer dance
