Meanwhile, back on the ranch here, a very hot morning but the tom plants are now showing the effects of the recent cold nights and quite a few are dying back. A shame to see. The Floridity toms are standing out bright red against stiff stems and brown leaves. Still very tasty, mind, though the skins are a little thick. Still a bit more life left in the Sungolds (I hope). Have started to bring in the hanging toms with a lot more to come. They look very nice hanging on strings in what will eventually be the pantry though is still just another room full of boxes of junk.
Have a nice day, y'all.
Edited to add: Have just been flicking back through the pages and spotted your post, NVG. Hope your show plants are OK. Here allotment owners have nowadays got used to people taking things for food - it's assumed they're among the vast numbers of unemployed folk here - but wanton damage like that is never seen. It beggars belief.
