  • Wagner, possibly not his absolute best but absolutely definately his best known, not quite Karajan & the Berlin Philharmonic but an extremely close version ...

    • I know there were more famous works, but this is his best for me ....

Right I'll stop boring you all now & head off to some Mozart & Beethoven (the uneven numbers are the best )

      • *CRASH* Hellllllllllooooooooooooooooooo !

I didn't come out to play last night (too late carousing at the local), but BB kept the side up, I see!

Let me do a bit of catching up - just a mo.........

        • An unexpected - but welcome - bit of culture there, BB.

I've been continuing with the Big Cat Deep Clean - let me tell you that if you have a couple of cats for a decade or more, your house will bear evidence of this long after the cats are no longer in residence .

If I am to enjoy the company on another cat(s) it is only fair to make their new home their own - it's bad enough that their new Head of the Household (er - that's me) will be constantly comparing to previous residents, without the gaff being full of ye olde cat hair & niffs.

Got a bit further on today - the bathroom is spiderweb-less, and I cleared out the medicine cabinet and the 'bathroom stuff' drawers. Scented soap? Ditch. Three pomice stone nail brush do-dahs? Rationalise. Savlon/TCP/cold remedy/Vicks? All out of date - ditch. Etc.

Er the phrase 'Big Cat Deep Clean' is not clear (if only we had been taught grammar at school!) - 'big' describes the 'deep clean' and not the 'cat'. I am thoroughly cleaning the house; not scrubbing a brillo over - e.g. - a tiger.

            • Right - time to put the house and all in it to bed (although I suspect that at least one of us will be sneaking a cheer on to Mo in a an hour or so) - so sleep well, all of you.

Oh - you are doing so already?

Thing is, I can't find the lashings of ginger beer to go with it!
Or am I supposed to have brought that?

Now then...down to business( nope...not the cleaning bit)......what's all this hinting about a new cat/s eh?...come on, spill the beans...have you some kittens in mind, or a rescue cat perhaps?
                * gets excited at the very thought.....

It's a bit midgie this morning. I'm off to do battle with the little bitey .... , while I clean out my chickens and turkeys. Then we're going to dismantle a shed bring it home and put it back up ( if only it was going to be that simple)

                      • Morning all I agree it's too early for a Sunday but daughter never sleeps in. Maybe when she's a teenager! Might be visiting a farm today but depends on the weather. Have a good day everyone.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                        • Cloudy here today, hooray! We're off out for a BBQ for lunch. Hope it's still cloudy then. Can't imagine it if the sun is going full blast.

SP, you've a heart of gold.

Our melons are ripening - and more pertinently so are the melons in the veg patch at the end of our valley worked by a man who doesn't live there - and our dogs love melons. It's bad enough if they eat ours, but if they eat his, it'll be far worse...

                          • Mornin' all ....... And a lovely sunny, Sunday morning it is too. Thank goodness that awful wind seems to have dropped somewhat...!

Just done quick 'rounds' outdoors ~ 2 sweetcorn are on the tilt so just 'heeled' them in a bit ~ hope they'll be okay ...........

Marie, lucky me ~ actually managed a 'lie-in' this morning: just drinking cuppa with an impossibly impatient Labradors eyes watching my every move ........ (nearly as bad as young daughters, eh...!!??)

Not sure what I'm up to today ....... Have a lovely Sunday folks.
