    • Morning from me as well.
Dull as dishwater outside, the threatened rain has still not appeared, maybe it won't bother.
Hubby doesn't know it, but a trip to the GC is on my mind for today. No reason, just fancy a mooch round and he can buy us a cuppa
Daughter is off to the Reading Festival today, hope rain keeps off there
      Have a great day everyone

          • Had me worried there for a moment, SP. Skipped over everyone else's messages to catch up with your news. Sorry everyone else: whatever you've got going, hope it's good.

            • Morning! I can't see the sun today through the rain - but I know its still sunshiny up there
Not sure what to do today - was to be a day in the garden but its sodden now. Trying NOT to think of 50p seeds when I really, really don't need any more.
Have a great day, whatever you're doing

              • Morning,

Just a quick pop on here before I go and get ready. Off the the garden centre for the seed sale haha. There is a few seeds I want and will fight anyone who gets in my way haha, only joking.

The sun keeps popping out, hope it stays dry today. Got a few things that needs to be done on the plot.

                Have a good day

                • Morning all - good day yesterday attacking the source of most of the weeds which creep in from the adjacent path underneath the fence boarding. Enlisted the help of eldest grandson to sink a couple of lengths of plastic edging I bought a few years back for £2 each, (end of season sale), to make the board about 3"-4" deeper - won't keep them out forever but if it helps I will do the same round the other 2 sides of the plot - 1 side already has deeper board with a raised bed. It will also enable me to extend my flower beds round the whole plot without the constant invasion of weeds that are difficult to remove as their roots originate outside the plot through the fence wire under the boards.

With apologies to rary - My grandson had already cut both my back and front grass so I took him to the nearest Game shop and bought him the latest Xbox game that his mates are now playing on-line.

                    • Mornings nearly gone, rain has just appeared properly
Used the time indoors to tidy up the craft end of my bedroom. It's my dressing table and adjacent set of drawers. Don't use my dressing table like I used to - think back 20 years and more - so it's perfect for me.
So, after a good sort out, tidy and clean, I have to confess putting overflow stuff into the 'real' craftroom.
Not too much, so addiction seems to be sort of under control ....... eBay and £shop are my undoing.
Still hoping to go to GC

                        • Morning all, dull but warming here this morning. Had a lovely day sitting in the garden yesterday and right into the night. We had the fire pit on and the candles lit, lovely! Looks as though the weather next week is going to be not too bad so looking forward to doing more of the same.

Hope you all have a lovely day and don't get too much rain.

                            • I didn't end up fighting with anyone while at the garden centre. Think they all stayed away from me because when I was looking at seeds no one came. I did tho end up taking all 5 packets left of green manure. 50p a packet who am I to complain along with lots and lots of seeds for next year. I might wait a bit longer because sometimes they go to 10p a packet during the winter if they don't all get sold.

Harvested lots of tomatoes and courgettes, so they going into tonight's tea. I also got given some cooking apples, so might make a apple crumble tonight. Also harvested lots of chillies, chives, cucumbers and celery

                              • Made it out, just about lunchtime, firstly to the cemetary to pretty up the family grave.
Job done, in between showers, we finally made it to the garden centre.
The cup of tea turned into lunch. This is a private GC, so seeds were not on a very good offer. Did have a packet of runner beans in my hand all the way round, which I bought.
Also bought our ancient Olliander a brand new larger pot. This plant has been with us years and survived being set alight by a faulty solar light years ago.
Moved it 10 feet across the patio, on the same wall, and it went mad this summer.
Hubby didn't even blink at the £30 price ticket, happy days
