  • Good morning Folks, mild but wet here this morning, don't no what I have to do today, as OH hasn't told me yet, Theo will have to go for batteries for my hearing aid, I dropped a£ coin out my pocket earlier on and didn't hear it, OH found it, and she won't give me it back, (I know its mine by the date and the Queens shading her eyes from the light) SP are you trying to confuse me, how can you spring clean in the autumn, well I off to see what I can get before I start to get ready to go out, by the way SusieG if you don't like dark morning's, stay in bed longer

        • Morning all, trying to get over finding those flour mites last night...googled them and yes you can find them in sugar Nicos. What amazes me is the flour and sugar we're in Kilner Jars!

Anyhoo the rain has stopped and it's quite warm. I got 4 red tomatoes yesterday...must have been that little bit of sunshine we had. Staying in today and then going to venture out for a walk tomorrow...first on my own since I got over the labyrinthitis, amazing how your confidence can be shaken by a stupid illness.

Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you are doing and hope the weather is kind to you.

          • Morning All.
Be brave, Jay, you can do it. (Let us know when you get back so we can stop worrying about you)
I'm having some new family members tomorrow - 2 rescue chooks. Mrs Brown has been a tad lonely since Mrs Black went to the great chicken house in the sky. Hope they become friends - and like puppies!
Have a great day everyone - cleaning, biking, weeding, whatevering.

I have had to pick earwigs out of the coolbox in the polytunnel on 3 occasions over these last few months - this is a sealed unit so I can't understand how they are getting in?? However, Doesn't affect the beer or the soft drinks as they are all in cans or bottles but still annoying

              • 75x 50L bags of compost and 10x70L of bark dropped off at the school this morning plus 18x70L bags of bark to the allotment - thought I was going to need 3 visits to sort this lot out but my daughter had put request for help on Facebook and the local builder phoned her to say he was in Kilmarnock this morning and would do the school lot. I got the compost for £2,20 a bag and the bark for £2 a bag so PTA are happy they are getting value for money - I donated the bark and I will use the remainder to cover my new paths once the lottie is remodelled.
