Been chatting to the chooks most of the day. The new girls are settling in well - so well that the 2 of them have laid 3 eggs today They are so easy going - I can pick them up, stroke them and one of them will eat from my hand. Amazing considering they are ex-commercial hens from a big flock.
Not sure what else I've done - a bit more tomato pruning and weeding. Nothing too strenuous

Great Allotment Society Meeting tonight - sweetness and light all round and it only took an hour so we spent half an hour chatting afterwards.

You don't need to worry - he was just acting - they had to bring the programme to an end somehow as nobody believed police behaved the way he did

If these meetings continue to be so friendly they'll start charging for attendance Only coffee, lemon biscuits and drizzle cake - would need to hold them in the polybar for anything else

Evening all, well set of on my walk this afternoon and down it came...chucking it down! Even though I had a brolly I was soaked to the skin and my hair...well let's not go there. Then on the way back, carrying a shopping bag, out came the sun and I was sweating like mad because it was so humid. Now because I haven't been doing much walking I have shin splints because I had my boots on which have a slight heel as opposed to the flats I've been wearing all summer. Whoever said walking was good for you is a liar!
Anyhoo, hope you all had a lovely day, nice to hear the chooks (just realised that autocorrect had changed that to crooks! ) are settling in VC.

Looks like we had a spot of rain overnight here ~ was a warm one - again.....

One of my potted sunflowers was toppled by the wind yesterday - and had its poor head broken off ((sob)). He does look a poor sight..... Have watered it and moved it to a more sheltered position, don't know what'll happen to it now ..... might it produce another stem and flower head ...... ??

Bit of scattered start to the day for me, but my own fault
Got up at 6 to cycle to work and after donning the appropriate attire, I began to notice that it was quite dark still..I had no lights ready or charged, so Plan B was implemented
Quick change and brisk 1km walk and am now sitting on one of the bus services that isn't on strike today...
Can only improve...

My boys are already shattered and they've only been back to school two days! Why do they insist on not going to bed at a resonable time and then won't get up?

101 things I want to do today. Being on a bus is not one of them, rather you than me trip (shudder) . Anyway 101 thing, all time consuming, don't know what first. So probably end up doing nothing

Morning from me.
I will be glad when this Friday is over.
Got to have a liver scan at 2.30 pm, nothing to eat for six hours prior. Arghhh
I was told by the unit to suck a boiled sweet if my sugars go low. I don't eat sweets, I'm bladdy diabetic!
Practised it yesterday, and ate half the house at 2.00 pm. Just couldn't hold out any longer lol
Anyhow, looks a bit gloomy here, hopefully will pick up later.
Going into work this morning and staying until hubby takes me to the appointment. I can't eat half a charity shop can I ?
