Well I gave the garden a thorough soaking last night Cadalot, so if that's preparation, I've done it. As for being at work while it's gloriously hot, coupled with decorators in at home, I'd guess it's going to be fun

Morning it was dull earlier but the sunshine's here now today I'll be picking apples either to store, freeze or juice depending what condition they're in.

I for one is really not looking forward to any heatwave - I hope the weather plonkers have got it wrong September is one of my favourite months, still warm and light, lovely blue sky's with white fluffy clouds. Really enjoyable gardening weather...heat waves aren't allowed!

I'm back home after two days in WALES. OH was racing both Saturday and Sunday, yesterday was a huge race turnout...over a hundred riders. OH was not amused that his "minute man" (the rider one behind him) caught him though he turned out to be a young twenty something that's on Wiggins cycling team. Some super fast riders, the course record was broken...44minutes for 25miles

Not amused though to find my house a tip after one of my boys had a few friends around in my absence! Pizza boxes, and opened baked bean tins everywhere!

Oh well, rugby kit is waiting to be washed...

I'm stuck here waiting for Thames Water to turn up and assess whether they can fit a meter. They've given me an anytime between 8.30am and 5pm timeslot. There are loads of things I need to do but I hate having to stay in even though I would have done anyway.

Morning all, dull and wet this morning...if you lot don't want your heatwave you can send it up here. I think we are in for a few days of rain. Thinking of picking what green toms I have as I don't think there is much chance of them turning red now. This season has been a disaster. Not much harvest this year at all although as someone said previously it has been a good year for fruit!
Well, off to do some domestics so will check in later. Have a great day everyone!
