  • Seed Storage

In response to a previous thread, I've been encouraged by Nicos to put forward the question; what is the strangest place that you have stored your seeds?

Well, now you are asking a potentially insane question.

Being a person of absolutely no organisational skills mine are, at the moment -

on top of the fridge, underneath the spaghetti jar, in the fridge (lettuce), spread across the table (tea on my lap again), hanging in a sandwich bag on a coat hook and a few packets are inside pots waiting for me to do something with them.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

I lost a brand new packet of seeds last year... couldn't find them anywhere... I recently found them in (yes IN) a bag of vermiculite!

We keep tidying for house viewings and every time I tidy something I find a packet of seeds!

I found my TPS packets that I saved last year behind the fish tank which was the other side of the room from where I keep any seed

I tend to impulse purchase cheap packets of seeds in L!dl and they get chucked into the shopping bag with all the food.
It's not unusual to pick something out of the cupboard/ fridge whilst cooking only to find a seed packet stuck to the side of it.

In envelopes round the house that I find on tidy ups, where I have received them opened them put them to one side for later

That sounds soooo familiar! I too tend to brows that shop and it seems that seed packets tend to be magnetically attracted to my hands! Since I started this I'd best fess up. I keep my seeds in a Ghillie Brogue's box next to my bed.......in case they get.....lonely!
