Tend to buy Fiskars gear after using their axes. Havent had to buy the same tool twice after about 7 yrs as a semi-serious gardener.

Doubt you'll get any F1skers tools for a squid OD.

I've been away for a few days and I had one of my more embarrassing moments whilst on the hunt for Charlie D stuff.

Walked round the store, couldn't find anything so spoke to an assistant who told me it was most probably just because the web site carried more stock than the stores. I politely bumped my gums about what a shame it was that that was the case, especially since I'd made a special trip into town etc etc.. I ended up spending a tenner on a few gardening bits anyway and left a tad disappointed.

Then on the way out of the store, my daughter pointed out I had gone into Pound World and not Pound Land.

You can't really make a quiet and dignified departure with a highly amused teenager cackling in the background!

Fast forward to the 'proper' shop and I managed to spend a small fortune on pots, gloves, hoses, seeds, twine, cloches etc etc etc.

I don't know whether to thank you again BM or curse you.

What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?

Aye. For everyone else but me.

I got the soaker hoses btw, don't know if you got any or not but I'll report back on how they pan out.

Only it will be next week now, we're scheduled for snow shortly so little will be getting done in the immediate.

I've got a gravity fed setup in place so won't be needing one but hope they are ok for your needs.

Yes, stuff like pots etc it doesn't matter if they aren't top-notch quality, but I think your proper gardening tools need to be pretty robust!!! Therefore, a few more quid spent initially, is usually a better choice

It's not just that they last longer, the quality tools are better balanced and more comfortable to use. Money spent on decent tools is never wasted as long as you look after them.

Maybe, but if you can't afford them, either at all or all at once, this range is a good stopgap, like Kevin says above.
