    Good idea rary!

The one that's cost me nothing is called "rary".
The one that I can't dig over is Lumpy.
The one with nothing identifiable is Muddled.

    Any more?

One with lots of nests in (even if only termite or birds' nests) could be Bigmallly. Sorry BM, I don't think gorilla nests are likely in South Wales.

Thinking outside the box, one of my favourite pastimes, I like it................

I thought it would be the one that`s the easiest to work
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

              Part 2

Bet you thought I'd forgotten all about this, didn't you?

I have been plodding away though you wouldn't notice the difference.

Here's the plan of the centre of the garden - I've identified 27 distinct beds and I'll work on one each day of the month, with a couple of days to spare for other jobs.

How do you keep track of all your challenges?! You must have a very complicated diary system

Its all in my head Vix! That's why I forget so much
Nearly finished 16. Just come in for coffee and a breather, then I'll show you what I've done! Don't get too excited

                    Bed 16

                    Bed 16 is roughly square and 10' x 8'

Redcurrant outside the logs to the right, hazel stump on the left, beech, ash and hawthorn seedlings, brambles, buttercups, bluebells and daffs.

                    After :-

I've moved the logs to include the redcurrant in the bed and planted another one.
Dug out the seedling trees and replanted 3 beech alongside the fence.
Top right - Pineapple sage cuttings
                    Top left - redcurrant
Bottom left planted with Purple Sensation alliums.
                    Bottom right - pansies
                    Daffs & bluebells remain.
Poppy seeds scattered over the bed.

Didn't do it all myself - I had help

                      Looking good there, VC.

Anyone else think those dogs in the second photo look a bit like Minimalllies?

They were trying to look innocent because they had just pulled up a kale from bed 17 and eaten it! It was a bigun too, in its 3rd year
At least I won't have to be so careful weeding bed 17 tomorrow!

Your garden is a large wood or small Forrest lol. What I would give for a garden of that size

Nick, sometimes its a liability, others a pleasure!
A few years ago it was totally overgrown by raspberries, like forcing your way through a jungle. Gradually, its being beaten back into shape, but I need to do it in small chunks or I feel overwhelmed.
                            I do like it though
