Poor Billy would have little ?heart attacks and fall of his perch, claws in the air. A drop of medicinal brandy on a matchstick seemed to bring him round!
Of all the small parrots I think budgies give back the most for their relatively small outlay; they're low maintenance, easy to train, amenable companions, giving endless hours entertainment with their antics. Each with it's own character in spades!
I was reading the other day about a Broadmoor prison and how budgie keeping helped pacify even the most disturbed prisoners.
