  • Hand raising kittens!!

I feel like im having deja vu!!!!! a couple of hours ago i was walking my boys down the same track i do every day when i notice a large empty 25kilo bag of cat food and i walked to have a look inside (as this is normal over here!!) and guess what i have found a newborn kitten abandoned and discarded like rubbish. The kitten still has its umbilicord attached and is very very tiny and skeletal, luckily i have done this many times and i have puppy formula in so that will have to do till the morning. It has taken some milk and i have my fingers crossed. I hate the human race sometimes!!!

I will upload a photo and keep you updated if you want.

Wish me luck to being up every 2 hours bottle feeding.

This is another 2 that i found last June in the worst heat wave in many years in the animal food bag you see in the pic. Again just hours old.

The ginger one went off to a lovely home and but sadly at 5 weeks old the other one died in the night,.

Good on you for trying. It is really really tiny! I hope that the kitten makes it through.

Lisa, you're an angel. It was meant to be - and I hope the poor little scrap pulls through.

Sorry i wont be able to keep you updated. Sadly the poor thing has just passed i knew it was going to be a hard one as he was so cold and weak, but i had to give it a try. At least he died with a little food in his belly and warm snuggled next to us rather than in that trash bag grrr

Awww Lisa, so sorry At least he knew a few precious moments of love.

I won't say what I want to about the "person" who dumped this little soul - as I'd have to ban myself

Aw Lisa! Poor tiny, and you're right, at least for the last moments the kitten was warm, safe and not hungry, and that's thanks to you.

Oh Lisa, you've just made me cry .... Poor little mite, how could they......?
At least you gave the poor little thing some comfort into its painfully short life .. x

Yep sorry to here that Lisa.Heartbreaking, not only that she didnt make it but also the lack of faith i have in humanity being added too all to regularly.
About 6 years ago my daughter and her boyfriend brought a one day old kitten home to ours.
A fox had found her nest ( mam was a stray ) and she took all the kitts appart from this one, a sacrifice i guess. Like you we bottle fed for weeks, here she is .
We thought she wouldnt make it but she did, Oreo is her name .
