Just potted up 12 courgettes and 20 BNS as the seed trays looked a bit congested
Fantastic roots on the seedlngs.
Once again, I think treating them rough may be the answer. The mollycoddled ones I've sown earlier this year haven't been a patch on these!

17 Courgettes and 42 BNS.
Got the number of BNS seeds sown wrong - it was 58. Still 42 out of 58 is still pretty good, given that they are all old seeds.

At the moment I think the garden will be full of courgettes, BNS, begonias and gladioliuses, and carrots in buckets. Good plan or totally bonkers?

The final germination results are:-

19/100 courgettes
52/58 BNS

Lumpy and BussinSpain guessed the 19 courgettes correctly
The closest on the BNS were Container gardener and Bren in pots who said "All of them"!

Total germination was 71/158

In 3rd place at 76 - Norfolkgrey

2nd place goes to Bigmallly at 74
