Went a day ago and it was fab.
The Lilly house was full of passifloras of every sort. The tropical house had gone a bit over but the temperate was sublime. Shame it had no real examples of fruit like you get in Eden.
Not too fond of the arboretum as it seemed over-pruned. I was a bit disappointed to see redwoods that should reach over 200ft chopped in half and many trees with too many branches missing. It seemed as if every new nurserymen had tried to 'get to grips' with the job and do something to keep their salary. Still, I saw some massive oaks.
By the way, I thought the new evolution greenhouse was a fantastic idea and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Overall it was expensive, but worth a visit if you're not too fussed about seeing fruit, veg or flowing boarders.
I was a concession and it cost £10.50-ish, under 17s are free!
