  • My rooms at work, finally been given my own areas....:)

Not home gardening but plants all the same. These are the rooms I have done at work. Quite happy with them squeezed quite a bit into a small space for our customers. The rooms are white, pink, blue and evergreen

            Congrats, sounds like promotion
Can you explain how these "rooms" work as I've never seen anything similar at a GC.

Well apparently its so customers find suitable colours for their gardens. Most customers seem to have white and pink gardens and when new plants come in I put a few of each in the rooms for customers to find easily. The coulors of the rooms change throughout the year depending on seasons. Like the pink room is soon to become red for summer. The blue becomes amber for autumb and the white also becomes yellow either in summer or spring depending on what head office says but I have put in a request to change the rooms all together to suit soil types or locations (shade, sun etc) as I think that would be more suitable or have formal, cottage etc in the rooms... just waiting on them getting back to me.

Thanks Jen. They look lovely but I think your idea would be better - as I don't have a colour themed garden. I remember us chatting about your suggestions before. I hope they're accepted by the Big Boss.

Definitely based on conditions is much better, I'd much rather people bought things suitable for their conditions than based on a colour palate that won't work in the wrong place. Don't like mono colours either though as think they look very artificial, a good riot of shades is much more appealing

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

One thing to be aware of ( and I'm sure you already are ) ...is the trip factor risk of that hose pipe?

just thought I'd mention it- hope you don't mind.

Oh yeah, didnt even see it when taking the pic. Wonder who put that there. Words will be said tomorrow haha.

I totally agree Alison, although my fave colour is green and all my garden is green and considering Im the only person who seems to have a all green garden I think I must be freaky that way haha.

My friend at work does her mams garden all white, literally every thing in the garden is white bar the grass.

Anyone on here have just one colour in their garden?

It looks fabulous. I always wanted to have colour coordinated garden (that's the OCD part of me) but I much prefer looking at a riot of colours as Alison so wonderfully put it.

That would be my ideal job (except having to deal with customers).
