    Well, I did say I would be surprised if someone didn't guess what it was & I'm not surprised..........GL gets the prize. It's a multi log/branch cradle.

    Stacked with branches & held in place with home made bungee cords made from rope & innertube:



    5 mins later, the ends are cut off into 15" lengths:



    10 mins later, the rest is cut in half & the result is 2 barrow loads of logs. The cradle being 30" long gives me clearance as the burner will take up to 17" logs:



    Anyone who cuts their own wood, I strongly suggest knocking something similar up, it's a lot quicker than cutting individual branches.

          Excellent idea. I kept wondering what the rope was for and that was the part that had me "stumped" geddit

          Enjoy your quicker log cutting BM!
          LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
