I personally buy Kitchen Garden and Grow Your Own. I have to agree that we should see the magazines as being complimentary to each other. Magazines will always stand and fall by what the editors put in them. Considering the wealth of information that could be put in a vegetable growing magazine each month, there would be enough material to fill ten magazines ten times over. As everyone has been able to see we can type K G and Kitchen Garden. That hardly smacks of censorship now does it? I would like to think that the Grapevine and Grow your own magazine is the last place to find pettiness and backbiting. The magazine has been going for over a year now and I have been enjoying reading it each month. The Grapevine has been on the web for eight months now, and I have to say that when compared to other interests and the forums they engender that the vine stands out as a friendly refugee to chat.
Piglet Willie asked “Is the phrase "kitchen garden" really going to be censored” from the fact that he was able to write "kitchen garden" here then the answer surly has to be …. No.

I'm sorry but I have only just logged on and received PM's stating we as a forum are being petty to Kitchen Garden. As a moderator I thought I should set the matter straight so that no one else thinks the same.
A glitch in the system is all that it is and nothing more. There is nothing to be read into it. It is just a coincidence that another magazine has the acronym K & G, which matches the lost letters.
SBP I didn't mean to sound heavy, perhaps I should have used more happy smiles to convey light hearted emotions. Sorry.

I do not know what all the fuss is about I have spent all weekend digging my plot so err in doors can watch telly or read what ever magazine. and cook my dinner when I get home
WiZeR, personally I thought it was a hoot when I saw your original post. I didn't even spot the original word losing letters when I was reading until a later post pointed it out. Perhaps I was reading too fast?
I think it is so funny when you think of the British sense of humour and all the innocent words that can cause a smile. I love “Are you being served”, the “Carry On” films and “Allo Allo”. Double ontondras [sp] are wonderful, long may they reign. I think it is equally funny when Americans watch our comedy and need subtitles to understand what is being said. My cousin lives in Texas and has given up watching classic British humour with her extended family, as she keeps on having to explain everything.
She just gets together with her three British born sons and watches when her American Husband, American born Daughter and American Daughters in law are out.
Mrs Slocome and Mr Humphries are a real puzzle to them.
