Least you are honest about yourself, in which case I say leave it for someone else be happy with the plot you've got (which is very impressive btw) you don't need the chore/hassle/ additional sentimental attachment and keep enjoying not labouring

If you don't need the extra space, I would sit back & enjoy the fruits of your hard labour.

Do I want plot 130' long by 20' wide? Yes
Do I really need it? yes
Could i make use of all that space? yes
Will my existing plot suffer? you're not the weed fairy for nothing

Would you regret it if you let it go? Or would you be relieved as your were the first time?

At the end of the day nothing ventured nothing gained... obviously depends what the boss says though

Toss a coin in the air, catch it, but don't look at it. You will know in the split second it's in the air which way you want it to fall.. There decision made

Yeh...just ask the boss....then the worry is out of your hands!

              Personally I'd go for it
We had 3 full allotments, 2 young kids and both of us worked more than full time.

You just need to tweek mulching/ watering/ change which crops you grow where,
Maybe a grassed area with fruit bushes and trees, a PT, maybe bees?
It's really easy to fill the area....just make the whole area less labour intensive.

Well.................we are more or less the same age & if I had done the amount of work you have on your current plot,I would not fancy doing it all again. Plus it's the wrong time of year to be upping sticks & moving...............October might have been a different matter................So, I think you will stay put.

My guess is - you're going for it but your OH has threatened to leave you for a man with a smaller one (plot).
