It has been really interesting reading about how everyone chose their names. Spindrift is Gaelic for 'sea spray' it is also the name of the folk group I used to be in. I figured it was apt as I have lived most of my life next to the sea, but as spindrift is usually taken I added my usual nickname to it et voila we have SprindriftAli.

Sarah JH, what a brilliant idea for a thread. I have had so much fun reading it.
Names are fascinating I reckon, particularly the names we give ourselves.
Noosner comes from my other half. We have always had daft names for each other and they have evolved over the yonks we have been together. When we first met we called each other Beans. At one point it became Noo so Noosner was an extension of that.
That changed to Noostani and now we call each other Stanley.
The names are a mystery to our friends and it's always embarrassing when we have to call out to each other in public. But we haven't called each other by our real names (Tim and Mandy) for about 15 years now!

On another Gardening Forum site I'm known as Goosegirl, but ages ago I read the name Mousetrouser somewhere and decided to use that as I like quirky names, love cats and am quite adept at catching mice and voles, though not with my trousers!I work very hard so please don't expect me to think as well!
