In my younger day as an illegal CB'er my Handle was Lancelot because I love anything to do with Arthur and the knights of the round table, and the whole period. I loved Art and TD at school and I started my working life as a draughtsman and soon got into computers, writing and using CAD Computer Aided Design programs. So at the time you could say I CAD-A-LOT, and this also linked with Python's Spamalot.

My Avatar is a drawing I did for my Whisky Club CD Lancelot card that we would send to people in the UK & other countries when contacting them on sideband radio, furthest I got was Essen in Germany on a 1/4 of a watt of power, on a secret channel on a modified Cobra AM FM Upper and Lower Side Band CB.

I bought the Cadalot domain name years ago in the early days if the internet and had a web site called Cadalot and provided support for technicians using many different forms of CAD and sold symbols etc. before ebay kicked the bottom out of the symbol library market.

When I set up my own business three years ago when made redundant there was no option but to recycle the name as I'm a Structural Engineer and Party Wall Surveyor amongst other strings to my bow, and I still love producing Art & CAD drawings, in addition to gardening.

Fantastic art work Cadalot and great to hear how your username came about. Never would have thought of the CAD element of it - I did assume some Arthurian interest though. I really love your squirrel.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

When I first joined the vine I was in the process of growing my very first small sugar pumpkin. I was very excited about how fast it was growing ( I still get excited about how fast pumpkins and everything related grow). So I used that as my username. Obviously I dropped the sugar because there is nothing sweet about me
If I could change it I might go with chilli pumpkin or something like that because pumpkins aren't my only obsession anymore.
Maybe it should be poultry pumpkin with a side order of chilli & tomato. That might be a bit long. I'll keep thinking

Do you know, in all this time I have never once realised there were 3 l's in your name.

I had sussed your name was probably Malcolm though (and you possibly weren't of a reduced height, petite stature. ) Either that or you have a son called Malcolm too and he's called Smallmallly, complete with 3 l's.

@cadalot, you are clearly very talented, your art work is impressive.

My daughter is a talented artist but sadly she didn't get her talents from me, I struggle with stick men.

I am always in awe of anyone who can make marks on a page turn into something as clear as if it had been photographed.

My name is pretty self explanatory.

Thanks, drafting pens are good for feather & fur, but you can do humans with them as well. Did you get the Page 3 girls name on the last post

I was thinking 'a bit of a cad' as in the actor Leslie Phillips type.

                              Sorry cadalot.

No problem, it's defiantly the being Chivalrous and having a Code of Chivalry and a love of all things to do with being a Knight, and saving the damsel in distress, plus Rick Wakeman epic album which he is about to redo and extend.
