Cadalot, (spell check calls you catalog ...). Superb Bowie drawing ...
In my (long ago teens ...) I drew a picture of Bowie in his Aladdin Sane days, and was very proud of it. I actually got an 'O' level GCE in Art, but along came life and I never really got back into drawing ...
So now in my spare(?) time, I have this passion for veggie growing ...
Anyway, going off topic a bit there :
My user name is my name, sort of - soo boring, wish I'd thought up something clever, perhaps I should've used the nickname that my brothers called me when growing up : Bugsy

        And that's another story .......

Mine is from when I was at school. There were 5 Janes in my year and 5 girls with the initials JB. We were required to embroider our initials on our cookery pinnies that we had to make ourselves in sewing lessons. I have no middle name so I was nicknamed JanieB by everyone to distinguish me from the others. And it has stuck ever since. I use 2 different names on other sites but one of them is too similar to another poster on here so I went for my nickname. In retrospect I wish I'd gone for the other one but it's too late now.

I know you're all super-interested(??) in my Bugsy nicknname ...
So, do you more senior members remember having in cereal packets, little plastic toys that would always wind up right at the very bottom of the Sugar Puffs .... ?

There were the three of us, me in the middle and me and my two brothers. Mum and Dad were not loaded, not poor either, but we three learned not to ask for things. So these little 'toys' were much prized and caused great excitement towards the end of the cereal packet ...
And this day it was my turn to receive the 'prize' ... (I'm getting to the point now, really - my brothers call me Ronnie - always digressing ... Ooooh , there's yet another username I could've chosen....!)

All waiting with excitement?? It was a little blue 'monster' called Bugsy Backbone - and that, after being shortened over the following weeks, my fellow Viners, is how I became Bugsy!

Can you tell that I quite like writing, too ......?
I was awarded the 'Young Poet' of the year at junior school ( now that's a scary thought, how long ago..? where have those 45 years gone ......?)
Think I could've given Pam Ayres a run for her money! (Who?)
Sorry folks, rambling way off topic here - did I mention that I quite like writing, too ....

Cadalot - your art works is glorious. It looks like influences from Picasso and Lady Frieda Harris.

I did contemplate Tubby, Fattie, Flabby and Flobby but.............
