Mines my name and when I joined I was only growing in pots
I'd got 6 runner beans, a bucket of carrots and two tomato plants in the window bottom. Since then we've filled in a pond, took out a shrubbery, dug up part of the lawn all the make me some growing space plus room for my GH.Location....East Midlands.

My OH joined the forum as Nicos and then didn't post!
A couple of days later I decided I'd join cos I liked the look of it !
Unfortunately , back then, the forum wouldn't allow 2 members from the same place so I asked if he was actually going to post and he said he didn't have time ...so I sort of snuck in in his place!
Glad I did!
He chose the name because his shortend scrawly signature in his youth actually looked like it said Nicos"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Location....Normandy France

Strangly it is who I was, sometimes still am.
At school several of us had "alternative" names (nicknames?) and I was Kirk. To one or two I still am Kirk to this day. Friends wife never undestood why he called me Kirk and equally why I never hiccupped when he did so. One person Steve Hyde, was always called Bruce, and no Bruce was not his middle name, he didn't have one. No idea how Dirge got his either.
My school maths teacher only actually knew me as Kirk, he never knew my actual name.

I kept my moniker from 'another place' so that other wandering souls would find comfort in recognition of the familiar - not sure how that's worked out though...
Not Baldy (yet) though as a youngster had a 'bald lump' (lipoma) that got me the nickname.
++ Balders - rather too fond of Blackadder goes Forth...

Bal is just the first syllable of my name. Everyone calls me it. Had no idea I could choose a name for myself. Just as well really because I can't think of one even now, unless it's
' blonde on the inside' ( no offence to any true blondes' )Dogs have masters, cats have slaves, and horses are just wonderful
