Can anyone tell me how to stop the flashing adverts at the side of the page when reading this forum? It's making me feel headachy and queasy as its constant. (Sorry I know ads are a requirement)

bobbin, are you using iPad? I am and it drives me barmy too! It does help things if you hold it in the upright position (is that portrait???) with the 'button' at the bottom ...

Also if you press Ctrl and + button you can enlarge your screen so it cuts the sides off.
If you have a wide screen you might feel very strange with how large the text goes. If that is the case you can hover the mouse over the rh edge til you get a double arrow and press the lh mouse button and move the screen in

Ooh yes Susie G! that works a treat! You're a techy phenomenon!!Yes on an iPad.
The " How do I do that" referred to the ad blocking suggestion earlier. Didn't realise this drove other folk nuts too!
Isn't it a problem for readers with visually triggered problems...like on telly when they say contains flash photography...maybe people with migraines. Do the ads really need to flash constantly?

I'm on an iPad Norfolkgrey, so none of them there fancy buttons what you got with yer fangled computer. No sign of a mouse here either. Keep it simple I'm a Geordie.
It's funny though what should be getting our attention in the form of useful ads is having completely the opposite effect! Someone needs to look into their marketing strategy.
