Friends of OHs have just moved from city (bang in city) who loved it 10yrs ago when we visited, we hated it as living the country life by then.
They have relocated and one partner..he just hates it down there now, the image , the pressure to dress a certain way, being judged ,becoming a person you are not .
Never thought I'd hear him say that , now lives in a boiler suit
For 42 years I lived in London and had to constantly be 'smart'
Now I live in PJs and a dressing gown, living in the sticks is marvellous, albeit, as I said up thread, I do love to go to London and pose with my made up face lol from time to time.
I love wearing make up and just got back into it over the past few year. I had five year where I just couldnt be bothered and when I did have to put it on It was an effort, but before then and present I love putting it on. I mostly put it on to whiten my skin and I do love red lippy but cant wear the brash red I love for work so I tone it down and wear a berry colour.
Most of my jobs has been male orientated (Im usually the only lass) and I do get comments (as for some reason men assume we put make up on just for them) even now in my early 30s I get comments off the boss *rolls eyes, but I dont mind. Boys will be boys I suppose.
I do give my skin a rest though on the 2 days I get off I dont wear make up and make sure if I do have to go out its not where I would see people from work etc after all I dont need them seeing the little villager I really am
Keep wearing that makeup when you want to, why not.
Masses of mascara and a fluttered eyelash may well do you well lol
I wear make up every day without fail. Even if I'm staying in the house with no intention of venturing out, I still get properly dressed and do my hair and make up. Not much mind, I go for the more natural look. I do it for myself, not for anyone else... but to be honest, without any make up at all, my face kind of disappear cause I'm so fair and blonde lol
It's them bladdy Tuna wraps, I knew 3 was too many....................

You'll never find me in PJs or a dressing gown. Once I'm awake, I'm dressed and respectable enough to open the front door.
We all have our standards - and mine don't include PJs
Laughing ..I can't either VC , we get too many early deliveries for anyone to face me in pjs
We used to when we had mon-fri jobs pre getting a dog, since getting dog who as pup needed out at all hours and didn't want to take her out in bedclothes we've developed into 'get out of bed get dressed' for past 6 yrs, now it's automatic , no other reason.
