Thinking about it I think another reason I don't do products much is that about 10 years ago I was having some annoying health issues and decided to cut out a lot of the unnecessary stuff. Have avoided parabens , SLS and various other potential nasties ever since in both food and beauty products. As a result the issues have disappeared but it does limit your choice of products too and it counts out almost every perfume, some of them are quite chemical when you read up on them. I've found when you don't normally wear scented products in particular, even a slight smell seems quite strong and distinctive. Might be just me though but it's probably saved me a fortune!

You'll always find me in dressing gown (pink/fluffy) usually doing boring chores as I see them (washing up, cleaning loo!! etc etc) and it has been known for me to be dressing-gowned-up whilst watering in GH.
I do draw the line at dog walking in dressing gown though!!! (would tend to get a bit muddy round the hem ........)~~~ Gardening is medicine that does not need

Ah. Now whereas I rarely wear make up I do have a thing about perfume and earrings. Noa, Light Blue, Chanel No 5, Eternity and Obsession. Sometimes Dune or Ghost.
I like silver jewellery and I have numerous pairs of silver earrings. I have a habit of taking them off in the evenings and leave them lying around. There are currently 3 pairs of earrings and 2 necklaces in front of me on the coffee table.Last edited by JanieB; 21-05-2016, 08:49 AM."I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)

Haha, JanieB, I used to be like you with earrings in the days of extremely short hair, but now it's long I don't see the point in wearing them, as my mop covers them over!!!
I do like a bit of nourishing body lotion, rubbed into dry skin areas after showering/bath. Oh yes, and can't do without the good old GHD's as my barnet is super thick and wild 'n bushy if I don't use them!!! Bit like the wild woman of Borneo ....~~~ Gardening is medicine that does not need

My pampering amounts to baby oil onto wet skin after a shower or bath plus Boss aftershave....................................it tends to clog up my fur though................sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

And I lament the long lost days of being able to wear 'heels' (you too BM..??) as dodgy feet won't allow, so it's 'sensibles' for me these days ...
When buying shoes, I still like to look at the ones that are just nigh on impossible to walk in, just cos I can, although they're soon put back onto the shelf - there's always some young thing looking disapprovingly, at this over the hill woman daring to even touch those shoes ...
So these days, the highest heels I have are actually my good old wellies!!!~~~ Gardening is medicine that does not need

Sorry Susie, just realised I've picked on a few of your posts, not meant to be aimed just at you although this post is making me think about things I never normally think about!Last edited by Alison; 21-05-2016, 06:08 PM.
