Sometimes, just sometimes there is things at work that makes the day brighter.

This is the second lot of babies that have been born, the first has flew off.
Gotta remember to take more bird food in tomorrow

Feed the blackbirds here sultana's and currents, best to soak them.
One female used to tap at the back door until I opened it and threw her a handful.

She always tried to fit more in her beak then she could actually carry, when one fell out she looked bemused and would try to fit it back in, then another fell out. This would go on about 5 times before she would just give up. 10 minutes later she was back and it all started again.

Before the self service checkouts when they had the basket only tils I am sure the cashiers used to wonder why I use so much dried fruit.

I was wondering what I could put out for my blackbird...she seems to have been on that nest so long I feel she needs a little 'pick-me-up'

I have a baby youngling blackbird. I've been feeding soaked dry mealworms and raisins I chopped up. I have another brood ongoing , I've tried leaving stuff for mum but she is a bit untrusting unlike previous baby.
I will set up a feeding area for her nr nest.

Just watch the dogs with the raisins and sultanas as they can be toxic for them. ( Not that I'm trying to teach you dog owners to suck lemons or anything! )
