Weve not been in a major tourney during my lifetime ( 52) so was overjoyed when we eventually got there and will be happy just seeing them involved.
However, theres always hope of progression no ?
On this day in 1998 my good wife and i got hitched in Gibralter and watched the end of the Scotland v Brazil game in the hot tub at the hotel in Puerto de Pollensa
were off to Porthcawll later this morning with our kids and grandkids, roll on tomorrow and good luck to all the home nations and my wife if Wales win, or lose come to that

We went to see the tournament in France for our honeymoon that year. Was brilliant (until we got knocked out). At the moment I'm inclined to favour the French to win, suspect we'll be too weak in defence and am not totally convinced of some of the other squad choices - would have dropped Rooney for a start, past his best and doesn't fit with some of the other players.
