              I have to disagree as I was in Marseille quarter final rugby union World Cup where England, France, Australia and New Zealand in 2007 were playing with fans everywhere. There was no violence just happy people eating and drinking together discussing the win or losing sides and why the teams lost. Felt really safe. It is not the drinking with football as there is lots of drinking with rugby. I do agree they always try to blame the English fans where it is not always the case. As said before I am a rugby fan just in case you did not notice!

                Rugby fans for some strange reason have the ability to mingle............I have no idea why "some" football fans can't do the same.
