One time, I was in a dept store where they had big mirrors and I said to nobody in particular "That old biddy is wearing the same coat as I am". Then I had a fit of the giggles when the penny dropped.
Why do people look away when an old biddy, out on her own, has a laughing fit?Comment

I took my neighbour to the hospital today for a check up after a hip-op - so 2 old biddies sitting in a rather large waiting room full of people on crutches and zimmers..
There was a huge drinks dispensing machine half way down the room, it was massive. Stuck to its side, a notice that said "Please do not shake the machine".
In my mind, I could see some of these old fogies grabbing this enormous machine, picking it up and shaking it. The more I thought about it, the sillier it became. I told my neighbour and she started to giggle too. We were both in tears, shoulders shaking, trying not to disturb anyone else. It was so silly.
You can't beat a good laugh - especially in a hospital
