Do I just take a polaroid of e.g. my melons and post it under your link for the delectation of the masses?

Somewhere in the very near future the Mods will start some new threads for the following categories (they don't usually tend to change):-

            The Happiest Sunflower
            Best Failure
            Three Beans, Same Variety
            Three Bulbs of Garlic
            Three Tomatoes
            Three Potatoes
            Any Other Item
            Three Items of Fruit
            Plate of Eggs
            Truss of Cherry Tomatoes
            Best Container
Best Dish, Made with Own Produce
            Best Chili/Pepper - Single Variety
            Three Beetroot
            The most impressive Pumpkin
            Best Chilies/Peppers - Collection
            Best Funny Fruit or Veg
            Three Carrots
            One Brassica
            Three Blooms, Any Flower
            One Squash
            Plate of Salad
            Pair of Cucumbers
            Plate of Ten Berries
            Three Onions/Alliums
            Fluffiest Bum [chooks, not human]
            Pair of Root Veg
            Prettiest Rose
            Best Scarecrow

You then post your relevant piccies (or not so relevant if you want) in each category. So your melons would go in the 'any other item' cat. There will be a deadline set where the Mods then open them up for grapes to vote on their fav.

It is very much a fun thing but there have been some fantastic entries in the past. It is well worth looking through old entries.

                Any other item!!!

There needs to be some new sort of category for them...

You should see the size of them! (Admittedly in my imagination, but maybe in a couple of months - reality)

I'm sure you're toms & chilli's will do just fine and if they don't you can always put them in best failure category . It's a very popular category it takes me ages to decide which is my best failure, I have so many to choose from

I desperately want to make one - despite my many years I never, ever have. Do I need to pretend a Small Child made it?

Last year VC added a special incentive of packs of seed from the VSP for those entering multiple categories- 'twas an offer not to be sneezed at!
