How do you slug hunt?

Ive been placing slug pellets on the soil on little plates and i go out at midnight and move them away ,

Remember slugs and snails can travel up to a mile a evening . Keep getting rid of them for around 3 - 5 months and u wont see them again for a very long time

i dont think u could be more true they go over a fence in the wrong direction

Hmm! I watched from my bedroom window my (nice, or so I thought) neighbour slug/snail hunting very early on Monday morning. Her method was to sling them over the fence into my garden. I don't mind at the moment as long as they eat the weeds as I only have a rose bush at the moment. but when my garden is cleared I won't be so nonchalant about it.
