I have some very obscure music in my collection, I was worried that people would think that I'm making it all up!

It doesn't really matter what songs you post as someone like me will more than likely post a popular song.

I occasionally post on there...but have a rubbish memory for music.
The fun for me is gooooogling a subject and finding a song I actually know!

I love the thread - find it quite a challenge waking up memories of old records! Quite a nostalgia trip, for me anyway!

I love the more obscure ones (and thinking of a link is quite a challenge!) and also love to watch the YouTube links - thanks guys - as I don't have knowledge/tech to post links here!

Also, how do I delete a post once I've posted it if someone's already posted and mine is no longer relevant.....?????!!!!! (See, don't know tech... ).

All records are now archived away along with the record player. I have so many CD's that apart from a few like Bowie, Queen, and a few others like Jools Holland, Rick Wakeman that I have the complete collection of, all the cases have gone and they are in plastic wallets and filed in boxes in bookcases along one wall of my office in alphabetical order (very OCD of me), to save space.

Now that Record shops are in short supply, I visit charity shops and rummage and surprisingly hardly ever buy a double.

I have never downloaded records, but I have ripped some Audio from video that I have bought like David Gilmour - Live in Gdansk and then blow me down if he does not release Live at the Albert Hall as a CD so I bought that as well.

My wife asks why I don't just download, but I tell her my CD is the original and my back up, I just convert all CD's I own to mp3

I have also been know to buy a CD because I like the cover and have never heard of the band or artist. When I was a sales rep for a while and on the road a lot my CD collection was invaluable. Now days I plug a memory stick into the CD/Radio in the car.

                            As you did just now

Sara, how did you get on with me jumping from Fankie Laine - Rock of Gibraltar to Albert Hammond Free Electric Band ? there is a genuine link, just a bit 'oblique' ..... Albert Hammond is actually a Gibraltarian ..... in the words of Micheal Caine ...... not a lot of people know that

That is a VERY tenuous link BB
